Truthiness
A big deal was sure made out of the White Correspondents' Dinner (WHCD) this past weekend. If you didn't hear, following in his former boss' comedic footsteps, Stephen Cobert was this year's host. Wonkette and Gawker were there to cover things with photographs of the DC A-listers, MSM B-listers, and anyone else who really cared/got lucky enough to get a ticket.
In typical MMQB fashion, Fox News' wake-up talking heads were none too pleased with the take-offs that Cobert performed. Some said that he went over the line (via HuffPo). But isn't it funny making fun of the Prez and his publicity machine (FNC)? Yes, admit it; it is.
The HuffPo had an interesting post this morning detailing the way in which the MSM chose to ignore the event for the most part (it was aired live on C-SPAN). It's true, I saw only those photos of Dubya and a not-so-close twin on the blogosphere this weekend. Later on today, another post on the same topic came down the HuffPo pipeline. This one, very conveniently, contains a transcript of exactly what Cobert said...nothing too outlandish if you ask this blogger.
