Best High Schools in America

Really interesting article in the Times today regarding Newsweek's ranking of the best high schools in the country. The rankings are totally based on the number of AP tests that are administered not on scoring or any other objective measurement. Interestingly enough, the claims this is a pretty freaking dumb idea, and I tend to agree. Perhaps the ranking should be totally based on the number of successful scores (>=3 we'll say) per school. Or we can even break that down to average score per student, or per student taking an AP test. There's plenty of different ways to measure, but the one that Newsweek chose is definitely not the right one.
